CTIA has officially released the latest edition of the Wireless Industry Indices report - an in-depth analysis of the mid-year 2009 semi-annual data survey results. CTIA has conducted the data survey since January 1985.

With 112 tables and 69 charts, the 336-page Wireless Industry Indices report provides a comprehensive review of the survey results over time, and a detailed series of benchmarks for industry performance and productivity. The latest issue of the Wireless Industry Indices report updates comparisons between wireless services and selected data from the wireline local (ILEC and CLEC) and interexchange service markets. The report includes sections on data service revenues, and toll and vertical service revenues. Among current and historical industry trends analyzed are subscriber usage (calls and minutes of use), incremental capital investment, prepaid subscribership, and subscriber-to-employee ratios. The report draws upon additional sources to include subscribership by state and by other "Economic Areas." The report includes the growth rates for total reported local and roaming minutes, and the average length of local and roaming calls.
